This means you can use fewer pieces in each container – at a lower total cost per container while also reducing freight and storage fees, waste and environmental impact - while providing superior and long-lasting moisture protection to your valuable cargo.

When goods are shipped they are susceptible to damage from excessive moisture caused by widely fluctuating temperature and humidity levels. Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants absorb moisture from within shipping containers to prevent condensation (also known as container rain), thereby protecting products from all forms of moisture damage including but not limited to mold growth, rust, corrosion, warping and peeling labels.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants can protect shipments from start to finish, through all temperature ranges and relative humidity variances.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are more sustainable and offer superior performance, which makes them both Eco-friendly and Economical:

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants can absorb up to twice the amount of moisture of competing products, so you can reduce the amount of desiccant in each container by 25% or more. Not only do you save money by using less, but our prices are also the most competitive on the market meaning substantial cost savings over alternative products.

Yes. Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are an additional tool to maintain product integrity during transport and are designed to supplement, not replace, Micro-Pak’s in-package products. Micro-Pak® Stickers, Sheets, MPX2® Polybags and Dri Clay® Kraft desiccants protect your products from within the packaging, whereas Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants protect your cargo from the outside by maintaining a dry container environment. Humidity levels inside packages can vary significantly from humidity levels outside of packages, so it is recommended to combine our products for optimal protection.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are made of a high purity deliquescent salt combined with a scientifically modified starch. This advanced formula maximizes absorptive capacity and traps moisture as a thick, no-spill gel.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants can absorb up to 300% of its own weight at 90% relative humidity and 40°C.

Considering the complexity of international shipping routes it is always rainy season somewhere. Our usage recommendations are therefore standard throughout the year.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants will continue absorbing moisture until they reach full saturation. They are designed to last up to 90 days.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants come in strips comprising 5 x 100 gram desiccant bags, an outer non-woven, and a hook for easy installation. Hang the strips vertically to the container lashing rings near the roof of the container with the marked side facing outwards, placing them an even distance apart within the container.

Each strip measures 86cm (L) x 17 cm (W) x 2cm (D), and can fit easily into the container grooves. The hook design ensures the strips are secure throughout the shipment.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are highly durable, comprising inner bags made from Dupont Tyvek® that is water vapor permeable but will not leak, and an outer non-woven layer for increased durability.

No. The high purity deliquescent salt and scientifically modified starch aggressively trap and bind moisture as a thick, no-spill gel. The packaging is leak-proof and the desiccant will not come into contact with the cargo.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants can be stored for up to one year from the date of production if stored if unopened and in its original packaging.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants should be stored in dry conditions, out of direct sunlight, and away from any heat sources. Only remove the necessary quantity of desiccant from the packaging during the stuffing of the container. All unused desiccant should be stored inside the original polybag packaging and sealed tight.

Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are made of safe, non-toxic materials, and can be disposed with regular waste. Micro-Pak MPCD ECO® container desiccants are fully compliant with REACH and a wide range of international regulations.
