A peer-reviewed Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) comparing the cradle-to-grave impact of Micro-Pak Dri Clay® Kraft (bentonite clay), silica gel and calcium chloride desiccants across four lifecycle stages - Resource Production and Transportation, Desiccant Manufacturing, Distribution, End-of-life Treatment and Transportation.

Key Findings

1. Micro-Pak Dri Clay® Kraft has significantly lower environmental impacts than both silica gel and calcium chloride desiccants on all areas of concern.

2. Calcium chloride desiccants have by far the highest environmental impact across all areas of concern, followed by silica gel.
